Port Activity is a platform designed especially for ports and its actors to bring new digital ways to enhance their operations. The application uses data from open sources and it is based on open ecosystem, this allows anyone to participate in the development of the application. The users can modify the application to meet their specific needs and can decide whether the solution developed as a closed feature, developed for the user or does it become as an open feature for everyone.
-The application brings the essential awareness of vessel traffic in use for all operators involved, tells Sakari Kaseva, Unikie’s Port Activity project manager. – The application gives benefit to port of Kemi where we have several operators and other parties involved in vessel traffic, says Eero-Pekka Svärd, harbour master of Port Of Kemi Ltd. and continues: -Also the communication between all parties gets easier now when all essential information can be found on one place.
