The world’s biggest ice-class cargo ship on her maiden trip in Kemi

The newest regular visitor of port of Kemi, liner vessel Botnia Enabler arrived on her first visit to Kemi on Thursday.

The newest entrant of the Swedish shipping company Wallenius SOL is as much as 242 meters long and 35 meters wide ConRo-vessel (Container Roll-on/Roll-Off) with the highs Finnish-Swedish ice-class A1Super. The vessel also has a multi-fuel possibility (LNG, LGB, diesel and synthetic diesel). Botnia Enabler’s sister vessel Baltic Vessel is expected to begin to operate on the Baltic Sea in the end of the summer.

From Kemi, Botnia Enabler will continue her regular traffic on Kemi-Skellefteå-Travemunde-Zeebrugge-Antwerp-Kokkola-Oulu -line.
